When discussing the plight of Israel neither Dennis Prager nor Jay Sekulow mince words. Prager notes, in a recent Prager University video available on youtube.com that one side of the Israeli-Palestine conflict wants the other dead (2014). Sekulow, in The Rise of ISIS, notes how demonstrably complacent and apparently complicit world authorities (including the United States government) appear on the contest of rightness between Palestine and Israel. “There is no moral equivalency here,” he writes, after listing numerous instances where Palestine and Hamas have violated international law to carry out terrorist attacks against the democratic republic of Israel, which is, in Benjamin Netanyahu’s words, the only truly free nation in the Middle East (2011).
Noni Darwish, when addressing an audience at Temple University a few years ago, provided some context to her upbringing in Egypt. She noted that her father led Egypt’s military intelligence branch and that Islamic parents raise Islamic children to believe that Jews (and Christians, for that matter, in context with Christian persecution in Islamic states, beginning with Muslim provocations preceding the Crusades [see Robert Spencer] to the Turkish genocide of Armenian Christians to today’s assaults in Islamic and Western nations on Jews and Christians by Islamists) have victimized them. Darwish emphasized the point: Victimhood or victimology resides at the center of Islamic faith. Funny she should mention this considering that progressivism also has at its heart a similar victimology. Furthermore, in every modern tyranny from Russia to China to North Korea to Cambodia and many others, victimology lives at the heart of each ideology.
Jay Sekulow wrote that “the spirit of murder and collaboration that haunted much of Europe under Nazi occupation has not disappeared” (2014). Neither has it disappeared here in the United States since the days of HUAC and the Cold War when true Communist moles operated in the highest branches of U.S. government. Each radical movement witnessed by us since the turn of the millennium has seen a convergence with other radical movements. Glenn Beck, among others, has demonstrated with convincing evidence that a convergence has taken place between radical Islamic elements, radical socialists or progressives here and abroad, and the drug cartels on this continent (2013).
American progressives drive hard at the new state religion, multiculturalism, everywhere in the establishment. Hardly any school, journalist organization, courthouse, Hollywood film, musical production, record label, or textbook that does not contain some semblance of progressive and racialist dogma attached. These experts of the Marxist critique of American government and society would have us believe that for an ancient or modern wrong, white people, which they consider to be synonymous with American government, must pay tribute by lying some bit of property or civil right on the altar of white privilege and black liberation theology—two major doctrines of the multiculturalist religion. Recently, these racialists had the mayor of Baltimore cowing to the mob, providing them with room “to destroy” (2015). Worse, the racialists–despite conclusive autopsy evidence, police statements, and an independent witness in the van with Gray proving Freddie Gray likely caused his own death–have yet again made six new police officers to serve as sacrificial lambs to the state religion. In the grandiose tradition of the Tawana Brawley, Rodney King, Trayvon Martin, Henry Louis Gates, Jr., and Michael Brown cases, the racialists have drawn more innocent blood on this altar of Marxist oppression. As history will prove, it’s just another verse in the same false-victim/false-perpetrator dichotomy. As I have written before, the Bolsheviks did it to the kulaks, the Nazis did it to the Jews, and now the American racialists do it to the whites, not to mention any black cop who also happens to fit the bill of oppressor class (i.e., law enforcer).
If my memory serves me correctly (I checked and it serves me correctly, indeed) one local school district recently had me nearly flogged by its racialist-in-chief (at the so called Civil Rights office—an office that would be more aptly named the “Ministry of Patriotism”), for having the audacity to very publicly disagree with some statistical data fronted by a Canadian that nominally proved teachers in that country are systemically discriminatory against boys in the classroom (merely a parroting of the progressive party line of systemic bias). The Savior told his disciples long ago that when the leaves begin to shoot forth we will know that summer is nigh. By all appearances, the leaves on the tree of progressive subversion of just law have long since sprouted. In fact, by all appearances, the progressive movement, which seems more like a parasitic vine than a tree, is not far from totally and completely subverting the laws of the land and the rights—including our security from terrorism–of the people. Verily, progressives have succeeded in choking the tree of liberty half to death. Can you feel it?
The good news is, not all of those who attend the academy of the damned (public schools), which resemble correctional facilities more than schools anymore (call your local representative and thank them for compulsory attendance and backwards policies and curriculum), are duped by the superfluousness of progressive propaganda. One of my former students wrote to me this week. Her words made all my sacrifices seem worthwhile. In her email she noted that I helped open her eyes to the truth and because of this, she feels compelled to carry forward on a mission to discover the truth and disseminate it for the sake of justice. So moving were her words that I believe she is ready to sacrifice all for virtue, true religion, and righteousness under just law.
I guess when the house of cards comes crashing down around us—and inevitably it must according to our current collective trajectory—I will have at least one consolation, if I have remained true to the faith: Although some will have likely exchanged their fortunes, their reputations, and their very lives for the truth, at least they will have known the truth.
Jay Sekulow, in addressing the problem of those who live complacently silent in these perilous ideological times, much less those who are complicit in persecuting Israel—which state proves representative of all the innocent in the world—wrote that “They should hang their heads in shame” (2013). Furthermore, Glenn Beck recently quoted Dietrich Bonhoeffer, saying that those who are silent nonetheless say something by their silence; make themselves complicit by silence (2015). Nevertheless, a war hero from the Book of Mormon named Moroni framed the problem more succinctly when he realized that complicity (to wit, moral complacency) with forces hostile to the liberty of his people had cost the Nephite nation thousands of lives and must then have soon caused the entire destruction of the Nephite government:
13 For the Lord suffereth the righteous to be slain that his justice and judgment may come upon the wicked; therefore ye need not suppose that the righteous are lost because they are slain; but behold, they do enter into the rest of the Lord their God.
14 And now behold, I say unto you, I fear exceedingly that the judgments of God will come upon this people, because of their exceeding slothfulness, yea, even the slothfulness of our government, and their exceedingly great neglect towards their brethren, yea, towards those who have been slain.
15 For were it not for the wickedness which first commenced at our head, we could have withstood our enemies that they could have gained no power over us. (Alma 60.)
To wit, thousands of our civilian and military brethren have been slain in the fight against terrorism expressly because of progressive doctrines for which, if it weren’t for its influence on policy, might have been prevented. Moreover–and this is a point I addressed a few weeks ago in one of my university classes–two New York police officers, three Ferguson police officers, and one Houston police officer have, in the last year, either lost their lives, lost their health, or lost their careers as a direct result of the kind of racialist monkeyshine spewing forth from the mouths of our progressive brethren; who, incidentally, have a single central objective: power, money, and popularity. Now, ponder on a thousand historical events where progressive policy resulted in catastrophic consequences, beginning with Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, North Korea, the Great Depression, eugenics, abortion, 9/11, the Boston bombing, Fort Hood, and much, much more. Undoubtedly, as Moroni has noted, God lives. And, although the movers and shakers of the progressive church may seem to have escaped justice in this life, we can take hope in that they must one day account for those innocents who have died and sacrificed as a direct result of their policymaking.
